What is this?

This is a place to hear the stories shared with Plains Story Share, a cooperative storytelling group. Previously located in eastern South Dakota, Plains Story Share is now using Howard Lake, MN as home base. Plains Story Share is committed to participating in interesting events and continues to pursue experiments in audio journalism. Plains Story Share was started as a way for anyone and everyone to take part in sharing a personal, meaningful story that the world would otherwise miss. Inspired by NPR programming, such as StoryCorps and This American Life, Plains Story Share is a way to be a part of an interesting experience, in person, in your community. Each story told is recorded and uploaded to this website to share with the world, with the permission of the author/speaker.
